Tomato Thieves

Now I know why I don’t get any tomatoes in my garden:

Well not today.  I have to get at least one, since I planted and watered that tomato plant…right?

Friday Night Stamping

I was at home tonight and thinking about two very special people who are ill.

 

First Mother Caldwell, my adopted mother, she is at home recuperating after surgery and Karen Ihles from Marco’s Paper, who suffered a stroke last week.

I want to send them both get well cards.

These are what I came up with:

To make this one I used the Damask Mask from Heidi Swapp with Broken China Distress Ink (Ranger) and Not Quite Navy Ink (Stampin Up). The corner stamp is by Penny Black and the sentiment is a clear stamp from Stampendous. The tag is from Spellbinders and I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the background. I plan to send it to Mother Caldwell.

The difference on this one is that I used the Butterfly Mask from Heidi Swapp and I used Sugar Cookie Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels. The Butterfly masks had been used before so they imparted some left over color which gave it a very interesting look. (Just wish I could duplicate it but I have no idea what was left behind on the masks). This one goes to Karen Ihles.

Something I made

 

I thought I had pictures of the things I’ve made with some of my Stampaway  Loot but they must still be in my camera.

But I did play with my Big Shoot Express which I bought during Stampaway. I used my Nestibilities that I have been collecting and then letting collect dust.

 

 

 

It feels so good to be creative again!

Stampaway 2009 Recap part 2

Earlier this month I attended Stampaway. As usual I had a wonderful time seeing friends and getting new toys.

This was from Judikins Booth using Mica Magic Reinkers (they have another name now but I cant remember).

This one was made for me by Susan at USA Artquest. I bought the stamp I liked it so well.

These are some of the things I bought during the stampaway weekend.

I spent money at Hobby Lobby, Archivers and Stampaway.

I Shall REturn

My life has turned topsy turvy since February when I last posted regularly! And in a good way. In the space of 3 weeks I got a promotion, and got married! I've missed my stamping time but now I think things have settled enough that I can return to it.
