Now I know why I don’t get any tomatoes in my garden:
Well not today. I have to get at least one, since I planted and watered that tomato plant…right?

Yes, I bet that's why you don't get any tomatoes. When my son was little, every day he would come home with tomato stains on his clothes and would tell me he didn't need lunch because he had eaten the tomatoes from next door. I asked him if he asked the neighbor if he could have them and he said yes.
During a neighborhood event, my neighbor mentioned that the birds were stealing her tomatoes because she would see them ripening and before she could get there to pick, the red ones would be gone.
I marched my son over to her and he said to her, "You said I could have some when you planted them." She agreed that she said that. He just assumed that was an open invitation to eating there every day. At least it answered her question on what was happening with the tomatoes. Now you know for sure where yours are going. Peace of mind is good too.
Well Pam, you may not get tomatoes, but I love the sight of deer in the yard!
I'm a transplant from Indiana, so you know I am missing this time of year *sigh* being as I'm now living my life in Southern California. I'm almost afraid to look at any of your past blog posts in fear that I may see some autumn leaves!
Sherry, I got one! and I will send you a picture of the fall leaves! I was blowing some off the driveway just yesterday. But my yard is covered with them. QP
