I Need A Hand

The fan/light combo in my stamp room casts a glare on my monitor but its heating up in here so I like to run the fan without the light.  I need a hand reaching the current light pull so I created a beaded pull today with some beads that I bought for who knows what. I guess I bought them to make jewelry but I won't swear to it because they are not my jewelry taste. They are however perfect for this fan pull.

I hope you have a hand when you need it!

IMified.com

I'm testing a new service today for use with my blog called IMified.com. It lets you post from your AIM (which I have on my phone). Pretty cool if it works:-D

Art Night

Saturday night I spent the evening creating ART with two women from the stamp club we are members of. I got stuck on a series of stamps from Inkadinkadoo as you will see below.

For this one below I used the Starving Artistamps Mosaic Technique.

I colored these with my copic markers and then ran them through the cuttlebug.

Happy Mother's Day!

IMG_0445 Here is my mother's day card to all the mothers!

May God bless you! A close up view shows the sentiment which reads "Thank you for being a gift in my life, loving without conditions, giving all of yourself."

IMG_0449  May your children rise up and call you blessed! And may their father find a way to make this day special for you!

I stamped this with Marvy ink and colored it with copic markers. The border is a new punch by Fiskars that is a corner and border  punch all in one.

Morning Tea

IMG_0434

This is the thank you card I gave to Lynette for loaning me money last week at AIS; when I met her this week at Archivers. I got this stamp from Morning Star while I was at Adventures in Stamping. This stamp came in 2 sizes that I had to buy and here is what you can do with the other size.

I used it to create a border around the card. Often I will use a smaller version to stamp on the envelope.

Its A Beautiful Day!

I made this card to uplift a friend who may be battling cancer yet again. Her fear was not of the cancer treatment but that she might die. Today however she is not dead and so I encouraged her to live it despite what might happen. Each day is a gift and should not be wasted but lived to the fullest because God says tomorrow is not promised to any of us, which ever side of "what might be" we find ourselves on.

At work we went through a culture shaping seminar and one of the things I came away with was "BE HERE NOW". So many times we are multi-tasking to the point of missing out on the full experience of any one thing. Try eating away from the TV or Computer (my personal favorite) and just slowly chew the food and experience all the favors. Or really watch TV without crafting or computing at the same time. Really listen to your child or friend when they want to talk. Try it and see if you don't get so much more from the conversation, I know your child or friend will. I did.

Here's the envelope I sent the card in since I was having so much fun making the dots:
