Update: My dad died 4/15/2012; I'm so glad I went home for his last birthday. I thank God for 95 years and a peaceful transition.
The March Madness for me is all about Birthdays. I have 6 during the month and me that’s a full month. 2 family members and 4 friends. I made these cards for 2 of my friends and for my dad, who turned 95 this year.
We celebrated the day by going to church and then gathering at his house for dinner.
Masculine cards are not my forte so since my dad is an aviate gardener I did a floral card.
I came up with this idea while attending my first ever crop and had to use what I had on hand.
I chose a couple of Memory Box dies Primula Blooms and Estate Fence. The sun is just a circle punch and the stamp is my Paper Trey Ink.
for my girls I used to images from an artist named Robert Jackson.
You can see his work here.
The paper is die cut with an Edger die from Paper Trey Ink.
I colored this Lady from Robert Jackson’s Sunday Hat series with my copics.
Her skin is done with E00, E02 and E04.
For the hat and dress I used YR20, YR21, YR23 and YR0000.
Her hair has W5, W7, W9 and YR20.
To add some depth to the shadows I added BV00 here and there.
For the dotted halo I used G12 and BG13. I started with DCWV Designer Paper in mind.
Here’s close up. I added Viva Décor Glitter Liner in Gold (included on the flowers) and some IAMROSES flowers to finish her off.
Here is the other card also using an image from the Hat series.
Her skin is colored with the same Copic combination E00, E02 and E04.
Hat and Blazer are BG10, BG11, BG13 and BG15.
Hair: C2, C3, C5, C7 and C9.
Halo: YR21, YR23 and YR4
Shadow: BV00
Glitter Liner in Gold
I used the same stamps on both from Paper Trey Ink!

Pam, I love these cards. This hat series is fabulous. It looks like you have the "copic markers" mastered. Who wouldn't love getting one of these lovely cards. Your creativity has no boundaries.
Loving it!
Mary R.
thanks Mary for your kind comments!
All of your cards are beautiful!
Your dad is so cute!
I absolutely LOVE how you colored the church ladies! I thought about getting these before to make some note card sets and may need to "borrow" your color combos! :D
Pam, these cards are not only beautiful but just absolutely fabulous!!!
