Adventure into Collage

I have always been in awe of collage artists. Mine usually end up filed in the circular file. But today I finally have one I actually like.

IMG_0688

I started by adding some images from Artful Illusions and some paper from K&Company to a 5X7 canvas board. I used some watercolor crayons, a silver hot glue stick and some silver dewdrops. I covered the photos with Crackle Accents. Please tell me what you think. Does it need anything else?

I think I was inspired by having spent the day in the company of women. It was Red Hat Saturday and we met at Yolanda's house and after being well fed we hung out in the pool. No one went blind when I put on my swim suit so I think it was a good day.

Enjoy,

QueenPam

I think this is wonderful Pam, IMHO, I think you have just enough on this piece. Is this a card, ATC, what size? Is this an AA image, it looks like it. I looked at her site but could not find any. Brenda R.

Brenda, thanks for you comments. Yes they are African American images. There is only this one collage strip. I got it at Adventures in Stamping, someone alerted me to it or I would not have see it. QP

Pam,
This is beautiful. When I first saw it, I thought it was soldered and that the pictures were covered in glass. I like the slight crackle and the addition of the silver balls in the wax. I would say that you nailed the collage thing. The piece has movement, a focal image, and supporting embellishments, not over the top. Nicely done.
